Every Gift Creates Ripples of Healing

Each donation funds education for those bringing grief literacy into their communities, including but not limited to: hospice workers, therapists, teachers, and spiritual caregivers. Together, we’ve facilitated over 500 trainings and retreats, empowering people to meet loss with courage and compassion.

Your contribution helps us reach our goal to support scholarships and community-based grief circles worldwide.

OUR MISSION AND VISION

To restore grief literacy, emotional wellbeing, and embodied healing to communities everywhere—through education, accessibility, and compassionate presence.

MISSION

Our vision is to shift the culture from “fixing” grief to honoring grief—as a natural, intelligent, and transformative human experience.

VISION

We envision communities where:

  • Grief is understood, not pathologized

  • Somatic and holistic practices are accessible to all

  • Embodied grief literacy becomes a fundamental part of emotional, spiritual, and collective health

  • Caregivers, educators, and community leaders are equipped to support those navigating loss

VALUES

Accessibility

Healing is a human right. We serve populations who rarely receive embodied or holistic support, including shelters, schools, veterans’ centers, caregivers, and under-resourced communities.

Integration

Healing happens through relationship: with the self, with others, with community, and with the more-than-human world.

Embodiment

The body is the first language of grief. Our work integrates somatic awareness, mindfulness, yoga therapy, and regulated nervous-system practices.

Education

We believe in empowering individuals and communities through grief literacy, trauma-informed training, and embodied teaching models.

Compassion

We lead with warmth, curiosity, and presence—honoring the dignity and humanity of every person’s story.

Equity

We dismantle barriers to wellness by offering scholarships, community outreach, and free or low-cost programs for underserved populations.

OUR COMMITMENT

We exist to make embodied healing and grief education accessible to those who need it most.

ABCs of Wellness provides:

  • Free workshops in mindfulness, meditation, somatic awareness, and trauma-responsive tools

  • Training for volunteers, caregivers, and community leaders to bring holistic practices into shelters, veterans’ programs, schools, and elder care centers

  • Grief literacy education for communities lacking access to emotional support

  • Public education materials such as pamphlets, eBooks, and community resources grounded in research and integrative practice

  • Low-cost or scholarship-based access to retreats, certifications, and embodied trainings

  • Collaborative healing spaces for educators, coaches, therapists and holistic practitioners

We remain rooted in our founding purpose:

To alleviate the financial and structural burden that prevents people from accessing complementary, holistic, and embodied care.

As our mission has evolved, our focus now centers on the most universal and underserved aspect of wellbeing — grief.

  • Fundraising events that align trauma, grief, and community healing with accessible wellness modalities

Your contribution supports those who feel called to transform their experiences of loss into service for others — including, but not limited to, veterans, caregivers, educators, and community leaders who bring grief education and support to under-resourced communities.

ABCs of Wellness is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

All donations are tax-deductible and directly fund education programs that build a more grief-literate, compassionate world.
